Erard  in  Paris  square piano  1805

5 and half octaves FF-c''''

5 pedals

This is an example of French piano in the early 19th century in its pure decorative form, having all possible pedals on a French piano, having 5 and halve octaves, similar to the Erard grand of Beethoven.

Erard was the top and number one piano maker in Paris at that time and his square pianos till ca.1820 have the same action but share different number of pedals. The 1809 Erard of this collection has 4 pedals which includes swell pedal unlike this one.
